Valves

A valve is a device that regulates, directs or controls the flow of a fluid (liquids, fluidized solids, or slurries) by opening, closing, or partially obstructing various passageways. Whether it’s manual or automatic valves, we stock what you need.

Brass Ball Valves - 1/2"-4"

Brass ball valves are durable, performing well after many cycles, and reliable, closing securely even after long periods of disuse. These qualities make them an excellent choice for shutoff and control applications.

Brass Gate Valves - 1/2"-4"

Gate valves are primarily used to permit or prevent the flow of liquids, but typical gate valves shouldn’t be used for regulating flow. Gate valves are designed to be fully open or closed. When fully open, the typical gate valve has no obstruction in the flow path, resulting in very low friction loss.

Butterfly Valves (Lever & Gear-Op) - 2"-12"

A butterfly valve is a quarter-turn valve used to regulate flow. A metal disc in the body of the valve is positioned perpendicular to the flow in the closed position, and rotated one quarter of a turn to be parallel to the flow in the fully opened position.

Cast Iron Gate Valves

Gate valves may have flanged ends which are drilled according to pipeline compatible flange dimensional standards. Gate valves are typically constructed from cast iron, ductile iron, cast carbon steel, gun metal, stainless steel, alloy steels, and forged steels. All-metal gate valves are typically used in ultra-high vacuum chambers to isolate regions of the chamber.
